Hi,
This is my first post so please forgive any mistakes.
I was hoping that someone might be able to give me the details of a supplier of the 1 inch prop shaft "Prop nut anode" for my DE38.
I haven't been able to find a supplier in Australia so I'll probably buy a bunch of them to keep me going for a few years if I find a supplier.
Any help is greatly appreciated thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave,

If it's the kind that just goes over the end of a prop nut, then it's the same as mine. I bought from these guys last year and I'll have to buy another anode or three since my shaft isn't grounded. Of course I could just ground my shaft to the engine chassis but that would probably just make my main anode go faster, and this one is much cheaper.

Also just found these guys, looking around.

Of course I'm having stuff delivered to the States, don't know if it's difficult getting stuff to Oz.

Cheers,

Eric S.

Thanks Eric,

It sounds like your setup is a little different to mine. I have attached some photos showing how I have a 316 stainless prop nut behind the prop and then the prop shaft nut-anode  behind the prop nut.  I am happy to change this arrangement if a simpler system exists however if I can find the same anode I'll just keep the current arrangement.

Thanks for your help. I now realise that I should have posted this in the engine forum and not the general forum but I don't know how to transfer it to that forum as yet.

No worries 🙂 topic moved over to engines as desired 🙂

I will move topics if I notice the need to be moved but for the most part people will probably need to point it out to me.. as my wife sometimes says I can be pretty unobservant.. 🙂
