i have a question about the thing that fastens to the bottom of the mainsail track and keeps the sail lugs from sliding down off the track when bringing the sail down. I don't seem to have one of these and was wondering where and what to get? There's no hole in the track where I could put a bolt in  either.

This is what my DE38 has.

Though, I don't know if it's a "Small" or "Large."

I had the exact same thing on my Beneteau F235..

Valkyr our DE38 has a custom plate bolted to the mast covering the track the slugs go in if I remember right.

What motivated you to trade in the Benetub?

absolutely loved that benetub :) That model is like the perfect trade off in speed, comfort, ease of handling etc. for a 23.5 ft sailboat. I keep intending to sell her but still she sits in the front yard on her trailer :) My wife doesn't even harass me to much to sell her as she loves that boat to.

If you've never seen or heard much about the F235 beneteau there is a great community site for them at http://beneteau235.com/ . It's a great community site and a lot of my inspiration to put up our website.
