hey folks,

I find myself in NC this week and thought I would head over toward Oriental to see the sights. I know there is a Downeaster or
two in the area, would love to get to peek at some other DCs and buy a beer for their skippers 🙂

Scott -

I only replied (above) last night - quite late - after watching UNC trounce Duke!!! - and after getting back from Duke to watch our boy beat a lot of Dukies in a cycle race !!

I'm guessing you will be put-off by the weather today - but you are welcome to visit here whenever. I am around most of the time and Jennifer works in Oriental. We live just outside Oriental, where we bought a bit of land and built our own home (and a few boats).

Try 252 745 3247

All the best - Tim and Jennifer - DE 32 - "pelli'.

PS tryed your website but couldn't get the 'contact' to work?

If you were a bit further south we would have loved to catch up. But we are down near the sc nc state line now and not traveling much as Zsanic is due any minute now 🙂 lol.

Are you taking your boat back north now?

Hey Scott,

Isabella DE32 is located across the water from Peli at Matthews Point Marina.  You can take the Minnesott Beach ferry from Oriental.  If you are planning on going to Orientl, our boat is located at  Matthews Point, give us a call (919) 270-7033.  We actually live in Raleigh.  We've done a fair amount to Isabella, not as much as Tim and Jennifer.

Hey Suzanne,

We would love to visit 🙂 however we are just days away from having a baby girl. 🙂 Yesterday was actaully the due date but she looks like she is holding out on use for a slightly later date!  We with the crazyness that has encomposed our lives for the last few months getting ready to have a new family member we have only gotten up to southport like twice in the last 3 months to see valkyr 🙁 we are getting ready in the next month (I hope I am not being two optimistic) to bring valkyr farther south ether to little river about 35 minutes from us or all the way up the Wacamaw River to Conway which is about 10 minutes from us. We still have a lot of projects that need doing and don't seem to be getting them done with her an hour and half away. My understanding is that once the baby is here that our time will be even more restricted for a while 🙂

However if you are down this way give us a holler and we can get together down here. There is the possibility that we will be visiting the southern pines area in a month or so for a friends wedding. Not sure how far that is from raleigh but if its close enough maybe we can arrange lunch or something.

That would be great. We would love for you to visit. I have never visited Oriental but it is on our list of places to visit on the water. I know a fair number of people that stayed there on their boats or passed through and everyone without exception has praised the area and the people up there. It's hard to find that kind of glowwing recomendations about many places anymore.
