Hello fellow DE owners and those wish they were DE owners,

We have been non-cruisers for the past three years doing such things as grad school and work and other fun things like that.  We realized we wouldn't be doing much sailing in the coming years with our beloved boat sitting in a dry yard in Mexico.  In point of fact we've been there exactly twice in three years.  Not a good situation.  So we decided we could correct it one of two ways: 1) quit our jobs and go cruising, or 2) truck her out here and become weekend warriors.  We don't have the kitty saved up for option 1, so option 2 it is.  We dusted off our old web site so that we could post the trucking experience where someone might get some useful information.

Here's the link:

Please let me know if there is anything you want me to elaborate on.

When she arrives we'll be re-rigging, re-wiring, doing some bottom work, and eventually following Jason Rose's method of repairing our fuel tank.  She'll be living at National Harbor in MD for the next few years.

Cheers,

Paul
