when I had the mast down last I put padeyes on the side of the mast right where the inner forestay attach. I’ve read there isn’t much need for running backs but I’ve already added the yes and I have the tackle laying around to add them so what the heck peace of mind. I’ve got some 3/8 bronze chainplates left over fro when I replaced my chainplates . I was figuring I’d add them to the hull location to be determined....since I’ve got a 32 furthest aft accessible from both sides would be just aft over the stove I could get in there and other side too...anyone have any input on this ?

I used them on my small racing beneteay because it had swept back spreaders and a babystay. Not sure they are needed on a DE.
