I have a picture in my head of how I am going to do the cockpit to fix what I see as deficiencies in the layout so that she meets my needs.

  1.  Slightly moved and raised sheet winches.
  2. Traveler moved to cabin top or Traveler arch over the helm seat. If traveler arch maybe integrate the the raised winches into mounts attached to it.
  3. Hinged seats Port and starboard from even with to aft of the helm seat attached to the rails. Maybe some type of bench seat arrangement. 🙂
  4. helm seat? not sure if I'm going to stay with a single chair there and just get a nicer one or what I might do there.
  5. Hard dodger with solid hand holds around top edge. Place to mount solar panels on it. ability to catch all water that falls on it and run through filters to tanks. Glass front windows with wipers on them. Boom crutch built into it.

What have some of you done with your boats in these areas to make them easier to use and more comfortable?
