I am the new owner of a 41' Pilothouse. It has been a lifelong dream of mine to lose myself in the Pacific and go diving everyday. I hope to move on sometime around the first of August and be spending maybe 6 months refitting it to what I want, scuba tank compressor, water maker, satellite Internet. I still have to work for now but just how bad can it be anchored off of an atoll doing so? Gotta love technology sometimes.
We both have the same goals and it's awesome you got yours at the same time as me
get your hin and decode it, if you need help I can help you find out when it was made and what number on the production run of pilot houses
I am also a diver and want to live in the pacific as a emergency yacht mechanic , I do hvac, electronics and more
for a watermarker the cheapest and best way is to make your own for a couple hundred in parts
using a low pressure and high pressure pump and some micron filters
i have installed 8000$ ones for customers but those are unnecessary and ridiculous
I'm living aboard and outfitting for off the grid ocean living it seems we may have the same route in the future of San Francisco to Hawaii then Kiribati to South Pacific to etc
post up those pics and I'll get you some of mine, and I'll share what literature I have if you do the same, there wasn't much info on the web about our boats pilot houses are a rare Downeaster indeed
