Hi everyone,
My name is Marvin Stevens and I am a new member on this wonderful informative website about Downeast boats. We have lived on Seawonder a DE32 for over 14 years in Ventura Harbor California. The location is the gateway to the Channel Islands National Park. A remote sailors paradise back in time yet just a six hours sail to say Scorpion anchorage on Santa Cruz Island. A wild place undeveloped by man with sometimes unpredictable weather with dolphins, whales and sea birds galore.
A knowledgeable skipper can take their boat there and have many a great adventures and fun and sometimes a very exciting boating experience.
And the Seawonder was there a few times during our live aboard life in Ventura. However, we have decided to buy a home and move ashore. And the home projects are taking priority over the time to spend on the boat. It is the vegetable garden and the fixing of the roof and the making of another bedroom and buying stuff we did not have the room for on the boat. Like a home theater with big screen and a big refrigerator full of frozen pork chops from Cosco.
So now fully retired and being an adjusted landlubber, we have reluctantly decided to let the Seawonder go. And hopefully to a person with big dreams of sailing the ocean blue following the sun set to far off horizons. Some of the details about the boat are posted on the Boats for Sale forum on this website.
Note: the ad has just been posted and is in process. More information and photos will be added in the next few weeks.
Thank you for reading,
Marvin Stevens.
