Just can't find the mfgr.

Have contacted Seaward (aka HilleRange, aka Princess), Homestrand and Kenyon, all w-o success in identifying my stove.

I only am aware of a few other potential mfgr's, the German made DESCA and some say Golden Mariner made this type too, but haven't found their contact details.

Advanced thanks for shared knowledge.

I don't see a picture...

Origo makes a two burner non pressurized stove top. I have one in my beneteau F235. It is a Origo 3000

I don't know if that is what you have though. If you post a picture it would help.

Thanks for replying with suggested Mfgr's.  I might well have added mentions of my 1995 purchase of a 1970 Coronado 27 as the stove came with it then (bought the 27 from its second owner) and fits in the galley area like they were made for each other.

As for the link, hmm, still works for me (I tested it after I inserted their "direct link) and again now before replying.

Nevertheless, I re-posted the photo again at image shack and instead of my using the (still works for me) "direct link"…

FYIO – On this forum (as I didn't catch any 'yellow stickey' or other attachment provisios), it seems that ImageShack links that best/better work are either their "forum thumbnail", "forum code", "widget code" and (at least for me) both posted "direct link" and even their "link" all work for me and my IE8 browser.

That looks a lot like my origo if it was 3 or 4 generations older. Same shape and principle but mine looks a bit different.

Thank you for replying.  I appreciate these great responses.

I just sent http://www.optimusstoves.com a webmail asking about the stove and provided them with the photo's link.

I should have mentioned in my last post that I'd searched the web and the 'Origo's website (http://www.swego.com/stoves_alcohol.htm), yet still nothing identifies my stove.

I've also just sent WESCO (the current company associated with the 1970 Coronado works) asking if their Frank Butler might know of the stove's mfgr, ie; the Owner's manual. while it refers users to seek out the mfgr with respect to added details, nowhere in the manual or even the boat's bill of laden, did Coronado identify that/those mfgr'(s).

Incidentally, how'd you post your photo (as mine lists the link's text and your's doesn't)?  Maybe you posted yours like I did and then simply edited out the text?

There is a little icon just over the text box when your composing a post. It looks like a little green tree. Clicking on it will bring up the insert/edit image dialog. you can post the link to an image in it or

go one more level into it to upload an image from your computer to the site.

I edited it and re-inserted it into your post using the insert image option.

I did notice the link you posted first after the fact and it does work. My brain or eyes must have been on vaction that I missed it in the first place 🙂

Thanks Scott.  Don't know what's harder, identifying this stove, tracking down a retailer for battery acid, or figuring out forum webmasters who design forum websites, ie; in many regards, I tend to find them, to one extent or another, 're-inventing the wheel'.

here are a couple ideas for acid. The first link is for it looks like a 6qt container? of battery acid for around 11 dollars. I have heard mention that you can get battery acid through NAPA also. Acutally just about any auto parts store that sells batterys should be able to get you some.

Please forgive my post's unnecessary commentary. My mention of acid was intended soley as a comparison of that process and the site's design for posting links.   No actual intended flames regarding webmaster/forum design, but posting links here seems almost as involved as full body TSA screenings (humorous example intended).

lol. I was wondering!!

posting pictures is sometimes a pain but a straight link to another webpage you just have to type the html address into the post. No crazyness or link tools. Just type in the address starting with http then :// then the address such as http://www.scottcarle.com

scottcarle.com

that was to funny.. ok you don't even have to put the http in.. if you put in www dot scottcarle dot com it will add the http on its own.

if it is a longer address then it will abreviate it in the window but when you click on it the full address is still there.
