What you don't see is how I came 6" from ramming the bowsprit into a concrete pylon....

Isn't there supposed to be somebody up forward,

waving their arms frantically,

hopping up and down,

and speaking ancient incantations?

I know what that's like (coming close to drifting into it then just missing the pylon). I keep thinking I need to lash some fenders to the bow pulpit.

Yeah, well ended up taking her out again and I managed to hit the pulpit against the concrete pylon. ย I was at the helm and my girlfriend was at the pulpit. ย Between her pushing the boat away and full reverse, we just glanced it with no damage.

Heh.... been there done that many a time in my different boats.. so far so good and never done more than just a scratch... ๐Ÿ™‚ knock on wood.. I have to admit it was a lot less heart stopping in my 3500 lb beneteau than my 20,000 lb downeaster ๐Ÿ™‚
