OK - our mast is off and over the weekend we realized it needs painting.  We need info fast as Deaton's can't do it at this time, weather is not the best and I probably made a mistake sanding most of the paint.  Anyone have any suggestions as to what direction to go at this time.  They will probably put the mast back on the boat the first of next week.  This is a lesson learned but I need some input as to where I go from here.  Quick fix, products, etc.  until I learn or get the nerve to use a bosun seat?!?!?    Thanks, Suzanne  [Image Can Not Be Found]

Me again!  I've learned more and it looks like a weekend of sanding.  We can then do the painting using the bosun - oh thrill and joy!  We're still open to any suggestions as to products and process.  [Image Can Not Be Found]

Tim (Pelli) here - I've painted several masts, spars etc. using several methods. Can come down to Deaton's pretty much any time to discuss - when will you be there?

ps we know the Deaton family well - Jake, son of the late John, is our son Adam's best friend.

We've done all of our spars on Eolian with Interlux 2-part urethane, over their recommended chromate and epoxy primers (sorry I do not have the product numbers at the moment).

They have held up very, very well!
