Good Day all and Happy Holidays. I am new to this site, just as I am new to owning a Downeaster. My boyfriend and I recently purchased a DE38 in Hong Kong. We are looking to plan a six month cruise from HK down to the Fiji Islands. I have been tasked with fitting new cushions, windows, etc. and I am hoping for some advice. Any advice will do. This is absoluetley a work in progress and I am just beginning ...
Many thanks in advance. /Melina
Dear Melina,
We are also refurbishing the interior of Valkyr. The cushions and curtains were the original materials. So, the foam was falling apart and smelled rather old, to put it mildly. We found a reasonable price for fabric from the housefabric.com. It is an sunbrella type100% textured poly. The material is oil and water resistant. If it would be any service to you, we also have patterns for cutting the foam. If you'd like a set of the patterns, we can mail a set to you. I hope this helps even just a bit. Just let me know. Good Luck!
