OK, I tried uploading a picture of a Bayfield 40 that came to me on the Bayfield Owners page that I belonged to as my last boat was a B-25. If the picture uploads someone tell me the B-40 is not the twin of the DE 38 ketch I currently own.

If someone can tell me what I did wrong with the upload, I'll try again. It's uncanny the similarities. Bayfields were from Canada and the guy who designed the DEs was from Maine. Maybe they knew each other.

Ok just tested the image uploads. seems to work for me.. Just go to below the text box and click on the upload attachments button, drag and drop or select your images and then hit upload. They will show up in the editing area of the text box. :) hope this helps :)

Ops!  just looked at your post in more detail. you uploaded correctly. but you uploaded a pdf file not an image file. If you click on the pdf under attachments in your post then it should display if you have a pdf viewer. However it will not display in the post as an image since it is a document with the image imbedded and not an image itself.

Scott:

I'm stumped. How do I change a PDF which is what all my pictures are, into an image file? I converted it online but couldn't save it as the file ending wasn't recognized. Any tips?

I did have a bunch of pictures I wanted to add over time but did not have the tech savvy to figure it out until now.

Thx

Rick

OK! I figured out the correct file extension. My last boat was a Bayfield 25 with the distinctive clipper bow, same as my DE 38 Ketch. I'm still getting stuff from the Bayfield owners page and this caught my eye. The bow, the stern, the shear, the sail plan, it's very, very similar to my DE 38. Like a spitting image.

Glad you figured it out. I've been out working the last couple days a lot and hadn't had a chance to check and see you were still having issues. :)

you need to get a picture of a DE and put it up in your post next to the bayfield :)
