Hi,
I have a cutter rigged DE32. I'm wanting to replace my traditional sail & boom on the forestay with a rollerfuller for easier singlehanded use. I've seen this on several other DE32s so I know it's possible. I'm having trouble finding an accurate length on the forestay though to know what length roller fuller to buy. I've seen the forestay length listed as 29 feet, 31 feet, & also as 44.6 feet but I think that measurement is actually the headstay length. Could someone tell me an accurate measurement of the forestay? Also, is simply knowing the length of the forestay the only measurement I need for knowing what size rollerfurler I need? I've never replaced a regular sail with a furling one before so I'm not sure what else I need to know.
Thanks!
Sam S/V Viandra (new name to be determined before re-splashing)
