There is no propane tank on Valkyr. So I started looking for a tank that would fit. On the old forums I found a post about the tank for the DE38 specifying this tank http://manchestertank.com/prod......  catalog # 10487TC.

It is around 200 dollars now from most retailers. However I found a company below selling it for 108 plus shipping. I think my total cost is 130 or there abouts. We will see when it gets here. there was some confusion on their website as it was listed for 74 dollars plus shipping but when you check out it showed up at 108… im not going to quibble about 108 given how much less that is than most of the retailers.

I got a call back from USCarb and they said that because of price fluctuations it was going to be 144 total including shipping. I didn't squawk and paid the difference. The total is still 60 bucks less than the next best price I could find for this tank not including shipping.

I too bought such a tank from USCarb for my DE38 and, despite several coats of Rustoleum, the rust spots still appear.

we installed everything before thanksgiving and got it all working again. we now have a working stove and oven as well as a propane heater that works great. It was previously installed on the boat and is a vented system so all burned gases are exhausted out into the foot well. No worries in the cabin. Works great

I didn't have a manual for the heater and couldn't figure out how it worked because it was so simple that I just didn't get it. Found the company that makes them and they have awesome support. I would recomend them hands down just for the support. The heater is pretty nice also. It looks like it would burn about a 20 lb tank a week if you were using it full time in really cold weather. 5200 btu. the Vented Cat Heater

I have some special aluminum flake urethane paint? that I will be painting the tank with. I will let you know how it holds up. it is supposed to be super duty industrial anti corrosion paint for metal structures such as bridges etc.. about 30 bucks a quart or 90 a gallon and it has a fairly short shelf life once opened.
