The first picture is of my rat lines that have been on the boat for 20 years. They are made from 1/2 inch nylon with nylon twine. To keep them from sliding on the wire, I used Elmer's Glue. Every 5 years or so I would re cote the twine with more glue. The 1X19 wire was made from nitronic 50.
The 3rd picture is my raised lifeline with some old standing rigging for the lower life line. The 4th picture is of a mast pulpit to secure my butt when the going got rough. The fifth picture is of an extra cleat to keep the lines more organized. The 6th picture is of a barnacle encrusted chain plate that sandwich the bob stay chain plate. The last picture is of my 75 lb fisherman anchor. It has only been used 3 times in 37 yrs but I would never get rid of it. There is a ring on the stock of the anchor that was made by the manufacturer. Does anyone know what it is for??
