Unfortunately, due to health reasons, I have to sell my beloved schooner, home and boat of 35 years Merrymaid.
Merrymaid is Downeaster hull number one. She is pictured on the original brochure. All of the interior shots are her and the schooner shots are her.
She is the boat pictured in the book The Proper Yacht and is featured in almost all of the Downeast Cruising Club newsletters.
She has a new Yanmar 3YM30 engine with less than 150 hours on it and is completely equipped with Furuno radar, color GPS plotter, autopilot, Novacool refrigerator/freezer, woodburning fireplace etc.
For more information and pictures, please check out Ebay item 261458164818.
For the ultimate cruising experience, you really need a schooner.
I am asking $39,000 and will entertain all offers.
Wow nice setup on Merrymaid.. I'm seriously jealous of the wood burning stove, autopilot and the radar 🙂 That also sounds like a nice price for her given the extensive equipment list.
Do you happen to have copies of all, or any, of the Downeast Cruising Club newsletters? I had never heard of them before. I'm not sure what all is in them but it might be a neat resource or just historical look back at owners and boats through time. If you or anyone else does have them I would love to get copies that I could put up on the website. If your willing please scan them and send them to me or even mail them for me to scan and turn into pdf's for posting on the website.
I went to ebay to look at the listing and it says that the listing has ended already. Not sure if you ended it early or something weird on ebay happened.
