I did some more searching for references to Gaviota and we actually had a link to her blog on the links page. I have also added that link and a link to a latittude38 article that had her in it about mistaking the Nicaraguan navy as pirates at the new page for her under the DE32 boats information page I linked to in the above post. 🙂 enjoy.

I don't have any current news on the boat but they have some fairly current posts on their website http://voyageofgaviota.blogspot.com/  where they are doing land sort of adventures. You might try and contact them through that and find out current information on the boat. If you do find something out let us know and I will update the information on the site.

Hi All,

I purchased Gaviota from Jamie & Brandon about two years ago prior to them heading back to the USA. She's currently moored in Pine Harbour Auckland New Zealand and the long term plan is to head off on an extended cruise of the South Pacific at some stage. Happy to share some picks of her travels up and down the East Coast of New Zealand over the last 2 years if anyone is interested.
