Greetings. I am in the market for a DE 32 --hopefully as far Pacific Northwest as possible. I have researched and interested in Gracie Emmet on Lake Champlain and Lost Dog in Ventura/LA area. Do you have a DE 32 cutter rig that you have loved and want to pass-her-on to another to do the same. let me know.
I am a Kent Ranger 26 owner, a smaller version of the DE, but trailerable.

We had our DE32 surveyed on October 23rd under ideal weather conditions, over a six hour period, by George Little, AMS, SAMS of Tamarack Marine Surveys, Colchester, Vermont. We chose this surveyor for his extensive experience in sailing vessels of this type. He concluded that:
Overall Condition: Overall condition was good. The vessel was in above-average condition for her type and vintage. (GOOD is defined as "ready for sale requiring no additional work and normally equipped for her size." ABOVE AVERAGE is defined as "has had above average care and is equipped with extra electrical and electronic gear.")
Estimated Current Market Value $US37,000.- 42,000.

Thanks for the tip. I checked her on-line. The broker can't give me any information except that the hull looks sound--unknown about rudder or deck. Price and these remarks make it a boat of concern. Unfortunately, all-the-way across the country. My only chance to visit will be Spring or early summer. Might have a survey done, but broker did not return calls.
Plan to check out Lost Dog during the holidays.
