I still have yachtworld searching for boats in my criteria, and sure enough another DE 38 came up this week.  For those interested, here is the advert:

Sounds as if there is some work that needs to be done but that is a heck of a price $23,900 also if those are current pictures she looks pretty good both inside and outside.

I was interested in the layout of the interior. It is much different than our DE38. I noticed differences in the Vberth, where the chart table is supposed to be, the port side of the salon and the forward starboard side of the salon all show major differnces in layout.

This pictures below caught my eye.. Notice the chart table forward of the starboard settee. The looks factory to me based on the floor foot print. Also on starboard they moved the settee all the way up against the hull to give more walkway room in the center of the salon. Plus the L shaped settee with free standing table make for a very different look. I would assume that the table lowers maybe to make a bed there.

This picture really was interesting. Where the chart table normally is is just a door.. It makes you wonder what is behind it.. A head? An actuall little cabin with the pilot berth there? The galley looks pretty standard from what I can see.

The Vberth here looks pretty standard.. At first I thought the seat area was larger but on looking at it again I think it is the same as on Valkyr.. Just looks nicer with all the cushions lining it.

Nothing much here that looks different.

Yeah the chart table and "room" where the quarter-berth is intrigued me.  I am considering going down to St. Pete just to get a look at this boat for ideas.  I like the U shaped settee and have considered chopping up Windsong to make one.  I also want to see what is in that quarter berth room

Eric,

If you get down there to look at her take a lot of pictures. I would love to have some more detailed ones to put up on the website to display the alternative layout.

I just found a DE32 with the same alternative layout. There is a cabin? where the chart table normally is.. still no idea what the inside of that compartment looks like.

Cool!  I definitely want to poke around in one of these to see how that quarter berth is configured.
