Mine is a simple stainless steel eye bolt ( welded closed), right through the center of the sprit.

There is only one hole, so I'm sure it's original. 

Granted I'm in a DE38, not a DE32.

You could also get some good quality bronze to do the same thing with.

I could drill out to 1/2". Has anyone replaced this, I can't find one anywhere and mine is pretty rusty………..any ideas ?????????????

After a few hours of searching the internet, many calls to all over the US I finally found a u bolt the same size that I need, I ordered 2 !!! Hayn Enterprise in Conneticut and their distributer sailing services at 800 458 1074 part number DM150005, ask for Eric[Image Can Not Be Found]
