My long term plan is a arch with the traveller on it. With our hard dodger arrangement that is all that is left to us to change it. With someone with a normal dodger or none than a mid boom arrangement with the traveller over or just forward of the companionway hatch would be easiest.

I am curious about the 'standard' arrangement for the mainsheet with a single winch far back on the afterdeck and a single cleat about half way between the winch and the cockpit well.

I have not sailed this boat but this arrangement seems to be quite awkward for the helmsman to control the mainsail.  I would like to be able to have the helm and control the main myself but this arrangement seems complicated. 

Any comments?  Other arrangements?
