And, after we got the whole thing mounted on deck, I found out the pulpit ended up shifting a few inches aft which meant that the old lifelines wouldn't fit anymore. So a little curve ball in our plans required all new lifelines. I had wanted to redo them in Dyneema for a while, so I took this as an opportunity to do just that.

Yeah, it ended up being a bit lighter than the original oak piece. Enough so that the boat seems to be riding a little higher in the bow than she normally does. I made a mistake with the anchor roller so that needs to be fitted, and it looks like I'll need to fabricate a custom roller but that won't be hard.

I'm impressed with how well it looked on the boat, I was worried that the red anodizing wouldn't mesh with the boat very well but it seems to.

I can post some plans and more detailed photos of the whole thing once we finish, but for now I'm just happy I got the forestay re-attached (just before the storm rolled in).

Well, I finally got around to getting the old bowsprit on the boat. When I finish everything, I will write up an article on the design and the setup. But for now, just a few pictures of it installed on the deck.
