Hi!
My boyfriend is the one who posted about still wanting your engine, but we've actually decided to go with a boat that has already been re-powered. There is a boat in RI called "Valvale II" (I think) that could really use your Farymann! She's sitting on the hard where she has been for two or so years, wasting away as boats do when they aren't sailed, and her old engine has siezed up. The man is selling her for a good deal, but we live in Maine and it just seemed like too much to get her home and working w/out an engine. We found a boat locally, but for someone down there, she'll be a good deal! If you'd like, I can give you the contact info for Peter who is selling the boat, and maybe he'll buy that engine off of you to make his boat more marketable. What did you choose to put in your DE when you took out the Farymann?

Happy sailing,

Sophi

yes, i still have the engine for sale. it is still in the boat (in my yard). the boat is not going in this year, i'm doing over the headliner with cedar. the engine will be coming out sometime this fall if not sooner. especially if someone is interested in it.

i have not started it since november(?) but is started easily on a very cold day so that i could run antifreeze into it.

not sure of your location, but i'm in new england, if you'd like to come hear it run. thought i had photos but can't find them at the moment. if you want, i can do that too.

good running farymann s30m. still in my de38. bought the boat last spring with the intent of replacing the engine strictly due to it's age. have run it in the yard here at my house. no smoke, no strange noises, just vibrates alot like a v twin should. some work done to it, like a manufactured manifold out of stainless. the thing runs good.

its got to be worth something.
