<p>Does anyone else know how necasarry they are. Valkyr doesn&#39;t have them and it doesn&#39;t look as if she ever did. I have sailed her in up to 25 to 30 knots of wind and she did fine.. didn&#39;t see any crazyness with the mast. The authors of the old posts I found seem to think that they were standard equipment.</p>
