hmm.. ive never actually had to mess with that on our DE38..

I will say this we do not have a shower curtain track.. I don't think that is a stock thing.

On my other boats we did one of two things.

1. ran wiring to a through deck fitting that had a section the wiring in the mast attached to on deck. You could unscrew it when taking the mast down and not have to cut wiring etc... worked well for us.

2. put a PVC or other comparable pipe through the deck beside the mast that had a 180 degree bend on top that had the opening pointing straight down at the deck. wiring came up through and then back down so that water couldn't ingress. Then wiring would lead into side of base of mast to run up there. Typically we would splice wires from mast to boat wires just under the deck or have a block there that both sides of wire runs terminated to connect together. We would simply cover wire between pipe and mast with a decent wire shield for UV exposure etc..

im sure there are a lot of other ways of doing this but that is what comes to mind from personal experience.

Looking for ideas / suggestions to get mast electrics through deck. Mast has been taken out for painting & re-rigging. Only visible cable left is antenna cable.

All cables have gone up angle between compression post & bulkhead in the toilet. The two left disappear aft & I have sighted them above the headlining at the back end of the compression post in main cabin. Only evidence on deck is end of antenna cable as indicated on my diagram.

I'd like to get a conduit through the deck to run the cables to the inside of the mast. After some measuring the only location I can find is as marked on the diagram. This would come out about where the shower curtain track (I assume an original fitting) runs, just inside the toilet door. From there a right-angle bend in the conduit would feed it back into the cavity at the junction of the compression post & bulkhead - where the mast wiring has been installed before.

Has anyone done this? or else how do you get the electrics into the mast. In the mast I'm replacing the conduit so all will be as normal from there on. I just can't see an easy way to get the cables through the deck at the moment.
