wow... ok I haven't measured valkyr yet 🙂 but that sounds huge comparatively.. I guess that is why a DE38 weighs in at 19,500 lbs and a DE45 at double that at 39,000 lbs. It's really amazing to see what 7 feet longer will do to a boat.

I just had someone that is looking to buy one ask me what the headroom in the DE38 is. I am not near the boat or going to be for a few days and thought I would throw it out here to see if anyone can answer.

Actually what I would like is if we could get people to measure the headroom in all four models of the Downeaster.

So if some of you civic minded DE owners would be willing to measure and post here your results it would be appreciated.

the four main areas to measure would be the headroom in the

galley
saloon
head
vberth headroom.

Bonus points are given for the dimensions of the

vberth
head
port and
starboard settee
chart table
pilot berth

Once we have gotten measurements for all this on the DE32 – DE45 I will update the official stats of the different boats so that it is a matter of record.
