]]> Fri, 27 Jun 2014 01:54:51 -0400 svbodhran on DE 32 Jib Sheet Winch Size? http://downeasteryachts.com/forums/general-forum/de-32-jib-sheet-winch-size#p2417 General Forum http://downeasteryachts.com/forums/general-forum/de-32-jib-sheet-winch-size#p2417 I have one of the later DE32s.  The winch bases are a bit different and when I bought the boat it had self tailing Lewmar 30s.  I've since integrated combings between the cabin and the winch bases and upgraded to 2 speed Lewmar 40s.  If your DE32 is one of the later ones with the winch bases further aft, you should be able to fit at least Lewmar 40s if you want to go that big.

How much larger can I go and still fit on the fiberglass pedestals?

I can not find st 2-speed 16. Has anyone, not a  contortionist, replaced them--how difficult a project?

 

Any line on used ones?
