I found a website for Downeaster sv One Love where he built a custom helm bench. I found the website thru a Youtube search for Downeaters. The owner has a kite vid of his DE. Really cool. (think he has since sold the boat)

I'm looking for ideas for cockpit seating. Other than throwable cushions, etc. Any owner out there install a captain's chair, or bench seat along the stern rail, etc? Would love to see pics if you have. I saw pics of a Downeaster 38 "Kuhela" that had fixed swivel chairs port and starboard of the companionway. Neat idea but I am looking for other ideas. Especially anyone that installed a fixed/removable captain's chair.
