We went to the boat for a 4 day week end and got a lot done on the boat as well as spent some serious quality time just lazing around on deck reading and resting.

Main anchor chain cut down from 230 ft to about 170 ft because of
having to remove excessively rusted sections. Also removed stainless
cable that tied it to the boat in the chain locker and replaced it with
some dacron double braid that reaches to just outside on deck so that
in an emergency we could actually cut the chain free and leave the
anchor behind.

The boat is now back to a livable condition with the installation of the composting head and all the tools and parts that were dominating the salon area removed.

All the mass piles of parts and tools moved back out of the boat so it is now livable again.

Port side storage in the salon area totally cleaned out and scrubbed.

General salon area scrubbed and cleaned

Floors through out boat totally scrubbed.

Freezer/fridge defrosted and scrubbed out.. it actually will freeze stuff now.

Third anchor that prior owner had attached to the bow moved back to transom as a stern anchor.

Lots of cleaning on deck for all the sanding dust and general dirt that had accumulated again.

Found leak on portside deck drain that is in galley cabinetry. We need to remove the deck fitting and the hose and rebed it and replace the hose with a reinforced see through hose.

Tested out grills two nights in a row…. 🙂 MMmMM MMMM good!!!

Most of the bung holes in the cap rail now sealed. Less water leaking into the boat. I will be doing a write up of our cheap and easy bung hole replacement system soon. 🙂

We also found that food tastes better when grilled on your boat. 🙂
