Thanks Eric!!! My feeling is we have a hose that has come loose - an adventure into the depths of the boat. Have a great holiday season!![Image Can Not Be Found]

Hey back to you!!! We have not been out as much as we expected. We did anchor out for Irene and everyone faired well from the storm. We have purchased a Coleman Marine A/C - heat unit to install over the butterfly hatch. We did not check the propane locker to see if there was water in it. We'll have to take another look. It seems to me that the small hole spits water when the engine is running. Our bilge stays dry except when it rains. We have a small area on deck that needs work. We winterized the boat but plan on going down should there be any days that are warm.

Thanks for the reply and have a great holiday season!![Image Can Not Be Found]

Hey Guys - Hope al's well and that you had some good sailing this summer (which still seems to be here!!)

We actually have 4 'holes' in the transom - two, for different bulge pumps (hand and auto/electric) - though we've never really used either, as the bilge is dry (we have a dripless stern gland system). The fourth is for the drain from the propane locker.

Current projects are installing a catalytic propane heater and hauling out soon to do the bottom. Adding a second through hull/seacock for the cockpit drains which I think a good idea, to drain the fairly large cockpit quickly in case of being pooped. We have added cockpit coamings which would increase that volume. Had a couple of 'poopings'! on a previous boat, in the Pacific and value getting rid of that weight as quickly as possible!

This may be a stupid question, especially since we have owned Isabella for almost 2 years. There are 3 holes in the stern where water comes out of the boat. One when running engine, one when the bilge pump is on and WHAT IS THE THIRD HOLE hook up to???

We replaced the impeller yesterday. Water came out of the main whole as usual when the engine was running, water stopped coming out of the small hole. The bilge was cleared of water before we started the engine. After running the engine for a few minutes, Peter turned the bilge on and there was a fair amount of water.

We have all the original manuals, etc. and left them on the boat - home now and started wondering why the difference and would prefer not to run the engine and have greater problems.
