Would like to add my name to list of circumnavigators. Name of boat is DREAM MAKER , a DE 38, and we are Pam the Admiral, and Jim the Captain. Took us 22 years to make the loop from 1984 to 2006. Had three cats and one dog over that time period. An interesting life style with no regrets.

Cheers,

Jim

One of my favorite books. I think I have read it at least three times. There is a sequel to it out, but the first is much better in my opinion. I think my top pics for this type of book would be it and the Pardey's books. A little bit of story and a lot of helpful tips and tricks on how to sail simply and cheaply.

The problem is that almost worldwide it costs a lot more money to enter different countries or pass through the panama or suez canals etc.. We are planning to play in our own back yard for a bit. Eastern Sea Board of the US and the carribean. Maybe jump over to the Med. as we get adventuresome .. We will see. I'm not going to plan be here or go there on any schedule. We will go and stop at one place till we get the hankering to go to the next. If that is a voyage of 10 miles or a 1000 it's no matter. The goal is to get away from the clock, calendar and rat race mentality.

Very cool 🙂

I wish we could do a circumnavigation but our finances are pretty subpar for that kind of voyaging right now.
