This Down East 38' sailboat was built by the Down East Yacht Company of Santa Ana, California in 1976. Designed by the renowned naval architect Henry Morschladt to be a cruising mans' cruising boat, it has a cutter rig sail plan and incorporates a clipper bow, wineglass transom, a full shoal keel with attached rudder. She has a rugged one piece fiberlass hull with encapsulated 8,000lb lead ballast. Her extensive teak interior has been meticulously maintained and with her solar panels, wind generator and water maker she is ready for extended cuising. The sales price includes an 8' "Caribe" rigid hull inflatable dingy and 15 hp Yanmar outboard.
